Congratulations on your selection to Undergraduate
Pilot Training! Not only are you going to be attending the
best pilot training in the world, you're going to have one of the
most memorable years in your life. The planes that the Air
Force will let you fly are sporty to say the least.
UPT is not easy nor is it designed to be a cake walk for very good reason. Days are often going to seem extremely long and the high standards that are set for you may sometimes seem impossible to meet. However, the reward you will receive should you graduate is priceless. Always remember that there are literally thousands of people that would do anything to be in your shoes. Make sure before you go that this is what you want to do for the next 10 years. Don't show up and quit after starting the program. You would waste a perfectly good slot that someone else could have used. If the life of a military pilot is what you want, then take it from me, it's the best job in the world!
The purpose of this section is to provide you, the pilot candidate, with the necessary information to prepare for and succeed at pilot training. We're trying to give you the best advice to do well at JSUPT. Unfortunately, there's no magic formula out there. We just want to arm you with as much knowledge (mostly to make you aware of expectations) so that you'll be prepared when you hit the flightline. We're constantly trying to improve this site, so please be patient with us. If you have any suggestions or have information that could help others, please send it to the webmaster. Best of luck at UPT and again, congratulations on your selection.
Check out the new JPPT/JSUPT Syllabus!
